I wanted to experiment with the laser cutter, using different power levels and speeds to see if I could use it to create some etched artwork. Basically I wanted to make some vector art on the laser cutter.

My first experiment was Optimus Prime as I was deeply entrenched in the Artboy Transformers exhibition. It was a shame I could not get this piece into the exhibition. I love how it came out.

The piece was etched, then backfilled with red paint to bring out the laser etched lines. Simple technique with awesome results.
